E.Leclerc Conad is going PlayCart!

By the end of October E.Leclerc Conad will open the doors of their brand new hypermarket ‘Le Befane’ near Rimini, Italy. As a pilot project 12 PlayCarts will be deployed in this store alone! After this test project it will be decided if the PlayCart is going to be introduced throughout E.Leclerc Conad supermarkets. Also the Ipersidis is trying out the PlayCart in their hypermarket near Rome and the Despar in their hypermarket near Milan. We expect that they will all be pleased by the advantages of the PlayCart, our Italian partner PlayIdea is making enormous progress!

PlayCart is now EN-CERTIFIED!

Today the PlayCart received it's EN certificate of conformity, issued by AIB-Vinçotte international. As safety and quality have been the main priorities during the development of PlayCart this certificate is the recognition of achieving these high standards.

PlayCart huge success in test local supermarkets

We thought: 'We are confident about our product, the shop owners like the advantages over competitive products, but what about the customers who are going to use it?!' Are they as enthusiastic as we are?! So we've been putting PlayCart to the test in several local supermarkets.

And the results are more than positive! People loved the interaction with their child being on the same level and the appealing effect on the child, keeping them entertained during the entire shopping experience.

Customers who where familiar with products similar to PlayCart where surprised by the ease of use in manoeuvring the shopping trolley with the PlayCart and liked the fact that their child could not get out by them selves and get lost in the supermarket.

Those who experienced this kind of product for the first time thought it was a disadvantage that the seat took up part of the space in the shopping trolley, not knowing that the seat can be put in an upright position to create the extra space needed near the end of their shopping. Others who had been using competitive products where pleased to see more space for their shopping.

One of the shop owners who had been using PlayCart just over two weeks and never used any other similar product said to us: ‘I can’t believe that people are waiting for the PlayCart to be returned and almost fight over who’s next to use it!’

All turned out as we hoped: The parents enjoyed the use of PlayCart and the advantages it has over competitive products, although some had to be instructed in the possibility of creating more space by putting the seat upright. But if this is the only minor point we are more than happy.
